Revolutionizing Office Spaces: The Qiaoxin Holding Group Project

Modern Design Meets Traditional Chinese Culture in Futuristic Office Space

Designed by Hihope Zhu, the Qiaoxin Holding Group office space in Shenzhen is a unique blend of modern design principles and traditional Chinese culture. The project, which won the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, is a testament to the transformative power of design in shaping work environments.

The Qiaoxin Holding Group project, located in Xiangmi Lake, Futian District, Shenzhen, is a departure from the traditional office model. The design draws from the essence of modern design, infusing the space with elements of new Chinese culture. The result is a workspace that not only enhances the image of the corporate headquarters but also reflects the profound and meticulous ethos of the enterprise.

The office space covers an area of 1062 square meters and is divided into various functional zones including a reception area, conference area, exhibition area, work area, and leisure area. These zones are interconnected through two efficiency lines, one for the host and the other for the guests, ensuring each space is interlaced yet relatively independent.

Key to the design's uniqueness is the use of materials. The main materials used in the project are wood veneer, stainless steel, and marble. The reception desk, which serves as the corporate image, is a standout feature. It is set against a backdrop of a ground glass wall reflecting the shadow of green bamboo. Glass windows are embedded in the wall, and stones are laid in layers to create the undulating feeling of mountains, showcasing the implicit beauty of the Chinese style from a modern perspective.

The design process involved a deep understanding of the needs and desires of the functional era. The design is not just a combination of aesthetics and materials, but also an interaction of these needs and desires. A vibrant office space was constructed using a unified and harmonious tone and a combination of aesthetic and functional elements.

The project was not without its challenges. One of the major challenges was product development. The designers had to ensure that the daily work and rest environment of employees was conducive to improving efficiency. To this end, a functional receptive design for lunch breaks was provided for all desks.

In conclusion, the Qiaoxin Holding Group project is a testament to the transformative power of design. It is a space that not only meets the functional requirements of an office but also provides a comfortable and convenient environment for its users. The project is a perfect example of how design can be used as a carrier to link all aspects of a space, from the material and atmosphere to the scale and weight. The project is a true reflection of the designer's vision and a testament to the power of design thinking in solving practical problems.
